What excites you most about your PIRE research?
The PIRE project provides a great opportunity for learning and interacting with prominent professors and researchers. My research involves the development of groundwater models in regional and sub-regional scales that will provide farmers information about the available water resources and promote food security.
What’s the most valuable aspect of your research for the people and communities?
Water is an essential source of life. Non-sustainable use of this resource could bring local and global crises. The results of the models developed as part of this project can provide governments, farmers and development agencies valuable information to guide water-related decisions. It’s obvious that the results of this work can be used in similar situations in different parts of the world.
