Opening Address:The kickoff conference of the PIRE Food and Water Security Project took place in Bahir Dar, July 11-15, 2016. The workshop served as a very important platform where scientists, policy makers and local farmers pledge to support the project with the goal of improving food and water security in the Blue Nile Basin of Ethiopia.
