What excites you most about your PIRE research?
I am excited to participate in the PIRE project because it brings together a broad array of stakeholders from Ethiopian Government Ministries to local water management committees and small-scale farmers. The PIRE project also bridges the gap between the engineering and social sciences to find more effective ways to disseminate hydro-climatological prediction tools to those that need them.
What’s the most valuable aspect of your research for the people and communities?
My work will directly benefit communities by working with them to better understand how hydro-climatological predictions can best be useful to help communities improve their resiliency to climatic variability and figure out better ways to disseminate that knowledge to the appropriate persons.
